Driving in Fog Toolbox Talk

Drivers must take extreme care when driving in fog. Conditions can deteriorate quickly and fog can be patchy causing additional dangers on the road. Driver alertness and responsiveness to changing external conditions are key to keeping safe combined with defensive driving in relation to other road users. The Highway Code guidance requires all drivers to use their full headlights if visibility is reduced significantly and to turn on fog lights if visibility is less than 100 metres ahead.
